Reset EOP Running

Special Note! With Version 528, Insuresoft has begun the process of converting the peripheral functions to the Web. Please note the Reset EOP Running can now be accessed via the Employee Web. The functionality is the same for both Windows and Web; the UIs can be used interchangeably, if desired.

Note: You must have the authority, "Access End of Period Processing," (End of Period Processing group) to use this functionality.

This process is only used when any of the End of Period Processes (EOD, EOM or EOP) "hang up" (i.e., go into a perpetual loop and appears to be running when actually it is not) and returns a message to the users: "End of Day is currently running." Using this function resets the internal EOP Running field to "False" in the EOP Running table.

Special Notes! These messages are written to the Error Log when the following things happen:

  1. User Not Having the "Access End of Period Processing" Authority: "<User Name> has not been authorized to Reset EOP."

  2. EOP NOT Running and User Tries to Reset EOP: "<User Name> attempted to Reset EOP, but it was already set to False."

  3. EOP Running: "EOP running flag has been reset by <User Name>."
