KY Tax Historical Import

Note: Prior to use, your company will need pre-implementation planning in order to use the Kentucky Tax import. Also, you will need to set up the system settings located in the Integration / Pitney Bowes / Geo Tax folder.

Premium taxes in the state of Kentucky are based on the municipalities in which the risks are located. Both City and County taxes could apply along with State taxes. This function allows your company to import the Kentucky Tax Schedule file.

• Start: User entry; based on the date the state of Kentucky sets its tax schedule. Usually this is an annual process though updates may occur during the year.
• End Date: Defaults based on the Start Date.
• State Tax Rate %: Manually entered; this is the state rate percentage.
• Collection Fee: Company specific; set for the collection and processing of Kentucky state taxes.
• Browse: Select to locate the Kentucky Tax Schedule you wish to import; highlight  the file. This places the file's name in the field once selected.
• Upload: This action adds all records into the Tax Code KY table (e.g., KY State Tax, Collection Fee as well as all city and county records). This table is then used for historical / local lookups.
