Producers

Note: If your company will be tracking producer licensing information, you will need to set the following two (2) system settings in Diamond System Editor to "True:"

 

 

The Producer's tab is active after an agency has been saved or when editing an existing agency. It is used to add any producers for an agency. If you are adding licensing information for a producer, the report, "Producer License Expiration Date," can be run to monitor when licensing dates expire. Input parameters for expiration dates are entered. Information listed on the report includes: Agency Name, Address, Phone and Agency Group, Producer Name, National License Number, License Number, License State and License Expiration Date if it falls within the date range entered. The report is sorted by agency.

Add a Producer

To add a producer to an agency:

 

  1. Select the Producer node / Add Producer.

  2. Click the Name / Address link. When the Add Name screen appears, make all appropriate entries. Select Save to save the entries and selections. The name and address information is displayed in the text box.

  3. Enter the Agency Producer Code, National Producer Code, Appointed Date and Terminated Date.
    (Special Note About Terminated Date: When a quote or new policy is entered and the Terminated Date of the producer is greater than or equal to the effective date of the quote or policy, the producer will not be displayed in the Producer combo box on the Application Submission screen. If a quote or policy has been entered and the producer was eligible then, but later they are terminated and the quote / policy is re-activated, the producer is not eligible when rating occurs.)

  4. If this producer is the primary agency contact (you can have only one), place a check mark in the Primary Agency Contact field.

  5. To enter the producer's spouse's information, click the Spouse link. Enter / select the producer's spouse's information on the Edit Spouse screen. Select OK to save the entries and selections. The spouse's name is displayed in the Spouse field.

Licensing Information

Licensing information can be entered by: Company / state or by company / state / line of business. To add licensing information, select Change:

Edit a Producer

To edit a producer:

 

  1. From the Producer node, select the pencil icon next to the producer you want to change.

  2. When the Edit Agency Producer screen displays, make any changes necessary.

  3. Click Save Producer.

Delete a Producer

Note: Deletion of a producer company / state / line of business item is only allowed if there are no quotes or policies having this producer on them.

 

To delete a producer:

 

  1. Highlight the producer requiring deletion in the Grid View.

  2. Click Delete.

  3. Answer Yes to the question: "Delete selected producer?"

  4. The producer is removed from the Grid View.
