The Notes node allows you to enter and edit Notes about an agency. Functionality includes:
New Note
Append to Note
Print Note
Delete Note
Edit Note
Make Note a "Sticky" Note
Assign Note
To add a new Note:
Select the New button on the toolbar.
When the New Note screen displays:
Re: Enter the Note's subject.
Options: Select one (1), some or all of the available options: Sticky Note, Urgent, Check on Renewal or Private; defaults to "Private."
Text: Enter any narrative in the Text box in the lower part of the screen.
Choose the Save button.
When the Notes node returns, the Note is added in the Grid View.
Append to Note allows you to make changes to an existing Note without changing the original Note itself.
To append a Note:
Highlight the Note in the Grid View.
Choose the Append button.
When the New Note screen returns, make any changes necessary.
Select Save.
When the Notes tab returns, the appended Note is included in the spreadsheet.
To print a hard copy of the Note:
Highlight the Note to be printed.
On the Note screen, click Print.
The Note is automatically sent to your printer.
To edit, or make changes, to an existing Note:
Opposite the Note you want to change, click the pencil icon.
When the Edit Note screen returns, you can change the options and add or edit text.
Select Save.
The Notes node returns.
To delete a Note from an agency:
Highlight the Note.
Click the Delete button.
Answer Yes to the question: "Are you sure you want to delete this Note?"
The Note is removed from the Grid View.
To make an existing Note a "Sticky" Note:
Highlight the Note being changed to a "Sticky Note."
Choose the Make Note Sticky button.
The Note in the Grid View now displays yellow.
To "un-stick" a Note:
Highlight the Note being changed.
Choose the Unstick Note button.
The yellow is removed from the Note.
Other functions on the Notes tab include:
View Summary / View Detail: This is how the Note should be viewed - Summary or Detail; default value is "Detail View."
Note Type: How the Notes should be filtered (e.g., New Assignment, Insured Contact, Claimant Contact, etc.)
Level: Select to display attachments at different levels, such as: Current Level, a Level Down, a Level Up, All Levels, etc.
