MVRs can be ordered on a driver or operator. The lines of business that support MVR Ordering are: Personal Auto and Watercraft. Once all information has been entered, rating the policy populates the MVR screen with drivers listed on the policy.
Order Requests Immediately: This only allows you to select one (1) driver or operator at a time. This option is "on-line," or "interactive." After highlighting a driver or operator in the list view and clicking on Order, the system takes the selected driver or operator and transmits their information to Lexis Nexis immediately for processing. This is the default selection.
Highlight MVR in the Products Available box; click the right arrow (--->) to move it into the Selected box.
Click in the empty box next to the driver you wish to order the MVR for.
Order: Next, click Order. A Diamond Validation screen is displayed: "The following products have been selected for order: MVR for <Driver Name>. Do you wish to continue?" Answer Yes.
The system returns a Lexis Nexis Results screen. It may display a message, "MVR - <Name of Driver> NO HIT. The DMV returned a not found indication in response to the order," or "Processing Complete With Results Information." If information is returned, click the tab showing a number in brackets button for viewing.
Select Close to exit the screen.
Queue Requests: This allows you to select multiple drivers or operators listed on the policy and order their MVRs. Using this option automatically places the MVRs in a "batch" for later transmission to Lexis Nexis with other MVRs.
Highlight MVR in the Products Available box; click the right arrow (--->) to move it into the Selected box.
Click in the empty box next to the driver you wish to order the MVR for.
Delete: If you do not want to order one (1) or some of the drivers shown in the list view, highlight the driver's name and click Delete. Answer Yes to the question: "Are you sure you want to delete the Requests / Reports for the 1 driver?"
Order: Next, click Order. A Diamond Validation screen is displayed: "The following products have been selected for order: MVR for <Driver Name>. Do you wish to continue?" Answer Yes.
The system returns a Lexis Nexis screen"MVR - Batch Request has been queued."
Select Close to exit the screen.
Once the number of records has been reached in the Batch Records Count system setting (Diamond System Editor), the batch is transmitted to Lexis Nexis.
Next, click the Details button.
From the View Lexis Nexis Reports screen, highlight the report and click View Report.
Information returned from Choice Point is displayed on the MVR Report.
Click Close to exit the report, then Close again to return to the Third Party Reports screen.
If an accident or violation is returned from Lexis Nexis either through "batch" or "on-line" reporting, that information is displayed on the driver's / operator's Accidents / Violations screen.
