Deny

Note: Users must have the authority, "Bind / Deny," (Policy Processing group) to process this transaction.

 

When submitting a New Business policy, you may want to deny the client's policy coverages for any number of reasons after rating. This is done by selecting the Deny button on the policy's toolbar.

 

The Deny Policy screen allows you to select a "Reason" and enter "Remarks." When Save is selected, the system prompts: "Are you sure you want to deny this policy?" When Yes is answered, the policy's status is changed to "History," with the remark: "Deny Application" opposite it (Policy History screen). Once a policy has been denied, no further policy transactions (such as a reinstatement) can be done.

 

Additional Note: Policies can be undenied providing a user has the authority to do this. When a policy is changed from "Deny" to "Undeny," its status changes from "History" to "Pending."
