Additional Interest Manager

Note: Currently this function is only available for use on Commercial Farm policies.

This function allows users to add an Additional Interest (or Interests) at the Policy Level. Once entered, the same Additional Interest can be assigned to multiple items on a policy, such as the residence, barns / buildings, and scheduled items.

Adding an AI at the Policy Level

To begin adding an AI at the Policy Level:

Click Additional Interest Manager from the Tree View.
On the AI Manager screen, select the Add AI button.
Prior to adding a new AI, use the Find button to determine if the AI being added already exists. This avoids duplicate entries.
If it does not exist, click Add.
Enter all required information (e.g., Name, address, etc.) Note: Any AI being added for the first time will be available for use on any policy unless the Single Entry AI is selected when the AI is first added.
Select Save AI to retain your information.
Next, you can either choose Save to add the AI to a Grid View OR,
Select Assign AI: This displays all risks listed on the policy. By clicking the Assign button next to an item, the system displays the Edit AI screen, where you can add the Type, Loan Number / Amount, enter the Interest % of the item and enter a Description. ATIMA and ISOA are also available for selection.
Click Save when done.
Repeat for any remaining items OR
Select the Return to Main Page button. This shows all of the AI information entered (protected) at the top of the screen. Located at the bottom of the screen is the Currently Assigned section that shows the risk or risks the AI has been assigned to.
Click Save.

Only Additional Interests that are added at the Policy Level are available for selection at the location and item level.

Assigning an AI at the Policy Level

If you have chosen not to assign an AI when adding one at first, you an assign the Additional Interest later from the Policy Level.

Select the Pencil icon next to the AI that will be assigned.
Click Assign AI.
On the Edit AI screen add the Type, Loan Number / Amount, enter the Interest % of the item and enter a Description. ATIMA and ISOA are also available for selection.
Click Save when done. Again, you can repeat the assignment of any additional items by clicking the Assign button opposite other items listed at the bottom of the screen.
Return to Main Page: Select when finished assigning the AI.

Editing and Un-Assigning an AI

Editing and Un-Assigning an AI can only be done at the policy level. Changes made here changes information on all policies in the system that have the AI listed.

Edit

Select the Pencil icon next to the AI you want to edit.
Edit: At the bottom of the screen, click the Edit button.
Make any changes necessary.
Save.

Un-Assign

Users can un-assign an AI to an individual location or item or all items.

Un-assign: Select to remove the AI from the location or item.
Answer OK to the message: "Are you sure you want to Un-assign this Additional Interest?" The AI is removed from the Currently Assigned Risk Grid View.
Click Save to finish.

Un-assign All: This removes all assignments for the AI so it can be deleted from the policy. Select to remove from all risks.
Answer OK to the message: "Are you sure you want to Un-assign all risks?"
AI is removed from all of the items listed in the Currently Assigned Risk Grid View.
Click Save to finish.

Delete an AI

Select the AI you want to delete from the policy.
Un-Assign All: Select.
Answer OK to the message: "Are you sure you want to Un-assign all risks?"
AI is removed from all of the items listed in the Currently Assigned Risk Grid View.
Click Save to finish.
Opposite the AI, click the red X. The AI is removed from the Grid View.

Adding an AI at the Location and Item Level

Only Additional Interest that have been added at the Policy Level are available for selection at the Location and Item Levels. This includes locations, barns / buildings, scheduled items and RV / Watercrafts; however, when adding the AIs here, the following rules apply:

Adding a new AI to the system is not allowed.
The ability to look up an AI is not available.

Select the Additional Interest Tab on the location or item an AI will be added to.
A Grid View returns that displays all AIs added at the Policy Level.
Click the Select link to choose the AI to add.
When the AI Screen displays, it is populated with the information entered at the Policy Level. You can select the Type, enter a Loan Number / Amount.
Click Save.
