Individual users can change the way columns are shown on the screen. This is done on a per user basis. You can add or remove any columns in the display at anytime. Each time you access the screen, your display is shown.
Click the Configuration button. When the Task List Configuration screen displays, all fields displayed on the Task List screen are shown (providing this is the first time you are changing your display). To change your display:
Description Override: An entry here overrides the Base default value for column headings. For example, let's say the Base default value for a column heading is "User" and another column heading is "Add Date." By making the entry "Originating User" next to "User" and "Date Added" next to "Added," the column headings will be changed when you Save your configuration.
Visible: Removing a check mark in the Visible field hides the field on the Task List screen. (Note: If you have an existing display, add a field by clicking in the Visible field to place a check mark.)
Enable Sorting: If selected with a check mark, this allows a user to sort a column from ascending to descending; if field is not selected, sorting will not take place on the column.
Alignment: Making a selection (Left, Center or Right) positions data within the column; default is the Base default value for a given column.
Width: Double clicking in the column allows a user to increase / decrease the display size of the field (in pixels) on the Task List screen.
Tooltip Display: You may want to show a Tooltip when your mouse hovers over a column (or columns) on the Task List screen. Place a check mark opposite those fields you wish to see a Tooltip.
If you have placed a check mark in the Enabled Sorting column opposite any field, select the Configure Sort Columns. This returns a second screen with one (1) column:
Arrow Up: Click in the column and to move the selection and change where it is displayed (or to the left) on the Task List screen.
Arrow Down: Click in this column and move the selection and change where it is displayed (or to the right) on the Task List screen).
Use Descending Order: This allows a reverse sorting pattern (e.g., A, B, C is changed to C, B, A.). For each field you wish to sort, place a check mark in the field.
If you have made selections to display tooltips, select the Configure Tooltip Columns.
Arrow Up: Click in the column and to move the selection up in your Tooltip display when your mouse hovers over the selected column.
Arrow Down: Click in this column and move the selection down in your Tooltip display.
After all selections have been made:
Apply: Select to make your changes take effect.
This gives you the ability to set default values for the following fields on the Task List screen by user:
User Category Filter: Allows you to select a default value from the combo box. Some of these values may include Employee, Client, Agency or Guest.
Display Date Range: This allows you to change the "Starting Date" of your display. For example, there may be a default "Starting Date" of 01/01/2000. By entering 09/01/2010, all open tasks beginning with that date are displayed.
Display for Date Range (Number of Days from System Date): Allows a time frame definition of the search. This shows any items beginning at the starting date entered up to the number of days entered past the system date. For example, your "Display Date Range" date begins to display open items on 09/01/2010. Your current System Date = 10/01/2011. You enter 30 in this fields. Once saved, your Display for Date Range defaults: From = 0901/2010 and To = 10/31/2011.
Show Transferred Tasks Only: When selected, this will only display those items that have been transferred to you by another user; does not display any tasks that are "open." It defaults a check mark in the Show Transferred Tasks Only field on the Task List screen.
Show Quotes Only: When selected, this will only display those items that are quotes; no other items such as "Pending" policies are shown. It defaults a check mark in the Show Quotes Only field on the Task List screen.
Refresh Automatically: Placing a check mark in this field refreshes the Task List screen each time a different search value is changed.
Belonging to Queue: Select from the combo box to change the value. Some selections may include: Any Queue, My Queue, New Loss, No Queue or Underwriting Exception; selection made here defaults in the Belonging to Queue combo box on the Task List screen.
After all selections / entries have been made, select Save to return the Task List screen with your new display in effect
.
Note: You can use the Reset button at any time. This resets / returns your current settings to the system default values if you have an existing, personalized sort.
