Tasks

Tasks are deleted when the corresponding function is completed or when a user, who has the authority limits, manually deletes the task. Only the originator of the task, the recipient, or a user with proper authority limits may delete a task. If a task for a 'Pending" policy is deleted, all related policy information is also deleted.

Tasks Tab

Note: You must have authority to access Tasks. Other authorities include: "Acquire Agency Pending Tasks" and "Acquire Headquarter Pending Tasks." For "Acquire Agency Pending Tasks," if the current user of the "Pending" policy is an agency user, and the signed on user is an employee, this allows authority for the current user to transfer the "Pending" policy to themselves. For "Acquire Headquarter Pending Tasks," if the current user of the "Pending" policy is an employee user, and the signed on user is an employee also, this grants authority to allow the current user to transfer the "Pending" policy to themselves.

A list of all open tasks related to the policy currently in view displays on the Tasks node.

Delete a Single Task

To delete a system-generated task from the Task List screen:

  1. From the Diamond Home Page, click Tasks.

  2. Opposite the task you wish to delete, click the X.

  3. Select Yes to the confirmation question: "Delete this task?"

The task is removed from the Grid View.

Approve / Reject a "Pending Approval" Claim Transaction

When a "Pending Approval" claim transaction is done, a Diary / Task is sent to the claim supervisor. The supervisor can either approve or reject the transaction from the Task List without having to open the claim.

Approve a Claims Transaction

When a “Pending” transaction is selected from the Task List, the menu bar on the Edit Diary screen displays Approve / Reject buttons. If “Approve” is selected, the system returns a message: “Approve this pending transaction?” When OK is chosen, the “Pending” transaction is removed from the Task List. If the user opens the actual claim transaction, they will see “Issued” in the detail section of the transaction.

Reject a Claims Transaction

When a user chooses to reject the “Pending” transaction, they select “Reject” on the Edit Diary screen. Answering OK to the “Reject this pending transaction” message also removes the “Pending” transaction from the Task List. When the user opens the transaction, they will see “Rejected” in the detail section of the transaction.
