Note: You must have the authority, "XSL," (Diamond Administration group) to access and run the XSL process.
XSL is a Diamond utility that can import company XSL maps into the databases so that a company can update their own XSL maps for printing.
When selecting XSL from the Diamond Administration Tree View, it has the following options:
To import a map from a file:
To import a map from a file:
Click Import Map.
Next, select Import File.
When the File Dialogue screen displays, navigate to the folder with an XSL map, and select Open. If the XSL map is valid, the Full Map text box fills with the name of the map. Additionally, the XSL Interface ID field displays "New" as its value. If the map is not valid, the system returns an error message.
Note: Interface IDs are automatically incremented.
Once you have accessed Diamond Administration / XSL:
To import a map from the database:
Enter the XSL Interface and Version ID of the map required.
Next, click Import Map then Import From Table.
If the IDs for both entries are a valid map in the table, the map is loaded and all fields are populated with the correct information. If the map is not found, the system returns an error message.
Once you have accessed Diamond Administration / XSL, to save a new map to the database:
Import a map from either a file or the database using one (1) of the procedures described above.
Enter a Version_id for the line of business needed.
Enter a Description; not to exceed 16 characters in length.
Select an Interface Type from the Interface ID combo box.
Next, click Save, then Save Map to Table.
If the map is valid, and all fields are correctly populated, the map is then saved and a message is returned to the user with the Interface ID used to save the map. If the map is not found or any of the fields were populated wrong, an error message is returned to the user.
Once you have accessed Diamond Administration / XSL, to save a map to an XSL file on a drive:
Import a map or type its name in the in the Full Map field.
Click Save.
Click Save to File.
When the file dialogue box opens, select the Location and Name of the XSL file. (Note: You do not need to enter ".xsl" at the end of the file name.)
Once you have accessed Diamond Administration / XSL, to update an XSL map:
Import a map from the table as described above.
Make changes to several of the fields.
Click Save.
Click Save to Table. If all fields are correctly populated, the map is saved and a confirmation message is returned.
Notes:
If the Interface_id AND Version_id already exist, the system returns a message asking the user if they wish to REPLACE the record.
If the Interface_id exists but the Version_id does NOT exist, a message is returned indicating the current map already has other versions and this new version will share the map with them.
Once you have accessed Diamond Administration / XSL, to delete an XSL map from the table:
Type in an Interface_id and a Version_id.
Click Delete From Table.
If the record does not exist in the table, a message is returned to the user.
If the record exists, it is deleted according to the following:
If more than one (1) version exists for the map, a message returns indicating that the particular version is being deleted, but the map is not since it has other versions sharing it.
If just one (1) version exists for the specified Interface_id, a message is displayed that informs the user that both the map AND the version will be deleted from the table.
