This function is used to import files containing "prospects" (prospective clients) for Marketing purposes. It is used in conjunction with the Sales Center Module.
To begin the process:
Load File: When selected, users can select the location of the file that is being imported. When found, highlight it and click Open. This places the file in the Contact Import File Name field.
Contact Import File Name: This is the location of the file that contains the contacts.
Recalculate Number of Batches: This recalculates the number of imported batches; defaults to 1000, but may be changed if necessary.
Import: This begins the import process. When selected, answer Yes to the question: "Begin import process?"
Preview: This returns a screen that displays the name / address of contacts that will be imported.
As the import begins, each batch is displayed in the data grid view in the lower part of the screen. A start / end time (and any comments) are shown. If there is an error shown in the Status column, you may double click the line to return a validation showing the error.
When the import is finished, a Diamond validation screen is displayed, showing the length of time for the import. Click OK.
