Note: You must have the authority, "Error Log," (Diamond Administration group) to access, print and clear the Error Log.
The Error Log Utility tracks errors and allows users to review and / or print any errors generated by processes done within Diamond. Users may select one (1) of two (2) filters to view errors:
Errors By Added Date: When selected, users enter a date range to view all processing errors within the time frame entered.
Errors By Policy ID: To view a selected policy's error, users may enter the policy_id number.
Access the Error Log Utility from the Diamond Administration Tree View.
To view all processing errors, use the File Options - Errors by Added Date:
Filter Options - Errors By Added Date: Defaults with the radio button selected.
Added Date Range (From / To): Enter a range of dates to view the Error Log; entry format MM/DD/YYYY. The beginning date entered should be the current PC Date.
Filter: Click the Filter button.
The system returns all errors that occurred within the specified date range in the list view. All fields are protected and may not be changed.
To view detail of a specific error, highlight the error and double click. The Error Details screen displays extra information on the error's occurrence. To exit, select Close.
To view an error, use the File Option - Errors by Policy Date.
Filter Options - Errors By Policy ID: Select the option button.
Policy ID: Enter the policy id you wish to view. (Note: This is not the policy number. It is the policy identification number assigned to the policy on the Policy Control screen.)
Filter: Click the Filter button.
The system returns all errors that occurred on the policy in the list view.
Note: You must have authority to clear and print the Error Log.
Two (2) other options for using the Error Log Utility include:
Print Error Log: Click to print the contents of the criteria selected (i.e., Date Range or Policy ID).
Clear Error Log: To clear the contents of the Error Log, click Clear Error Log. Answer Yes to the question: "Are you sure you want to clear the error log?" The list view is erased and returned blank.
To exit the Error Log, click the X in the upper right of the screen.
