Repair Shop Maintenance

Note: Users must have authority to add, edit  and / or delete repair shops (Claim Appraisals group).

 

This allows a user to globally enter repair shops in Diamond. Repair shops entered here can be used for selection when submitting a Loss Notice on a vehicle. After choosing the Vehicle tab, you may then click the Appraisal button to return the Claim Appraisal Detail screen. From there, you can select the Repair Shop Maintenance button and choose the repair shop on the Claim Repair Shop List screen.

Add Repair Shop Maintenance

To add a repair shop:

 

  1. Choose the Claims / Repair Shop Maintenance selection from the Diamond Administration Tree View.

  2. When the Claim Repair Shop List screen displays, select Add.

  3. On the Claim Repair Shop List screen, the Active field defaults with a check mark indicating the repair shop is "Active," available for assignment.

  4. Select the Name link. When the Edit Name screen displays, enter all name / phone numbers / address information for the repair shop.

  5. After entries and selections have been made, select OK. The repair shop is added and displayed on the Claim Repair Shop List screen.

 

Repeat the steps to enter more repair shops.

Edit a Repair Shop

To edit a repair shop:

 

  1. Highlight the repair shop in the list view.

  2. Choose Edit or double click the shop in the list view.

  3. When the Claim Repair Shop List screen returns, make any changes necessary.

  4. Click Save to retain the changes.

 

To exit the screen, click Close.

Making a Repair Shop "Inactive"

If you want to make a repair shop "Inactive:"

 

Deleting a Repair Shop

To delete a shop:

 

 

Note: When deleting a shop, it is not removed from the system entirely. Rather, its status becomes "Inactive" and the shop can be viewed by selecting the Inactive radio button at the bottom of the Claim Repair Shop List screen. To make the shop "Active," simply edit the shop and place a check mark in the Active field.
