Note: Users need the authority, "Choice Point NCF Batch," (Diamond Administration group) to access and run this function.
Additionally, the following system settings need to be set in the Choice Point and Choice Point / NCF folder:
Report File Path: This is the name of the path where the Report file that is sent and received resides. This is an implementation specific user defined setting.
Max Home Records to Process: This is the maximum number of Home records to process from the Choice Point NCF Batch table. If this is set to "0," then all Home records will be processed in the table.
Max Auto Records to Process: This is the maximum number of Auto records to process from the Choice Point NCF Batch table. If this is set to "0," then all Auto records will be processed in the table.
Max Records for Request: When set to a numeric value, this will limit the maximum size of the batch request. If set to "0," this will set all newly inserted transmissions to a "Pending" status so that Choice Point will process them.
Min Records for Request: When set to a numeric value, this will limit the minimum size of the batch request. If set to "0," this will set all newly inserted transmissions to a "Pending" status so that Choice Point will process them.
Number of Threads: Determines the number of threads to be used.
Pre Processed Stored Procedure: This is the company specific stored procedure that is used to populate the Choice Point NCF Batch table with policies identified as needing NCF reports ordered.
Display Intervals: A numeric value, this determines the number of minutes interval that processed records will be displayed on the UI. If this is set to "0" (Disable), the interval will not be displayed.
The Choice Point NCF Batch function is a process that runs a company specific stored procedure that identifies policies needing credit scores.
To run the process:
Create Transmission Records
Add Pre-Process Records: When selected, this identifies the number of policies needing credit scores.
Add Home Transmission Records: When this is selected, this looks at all Home records and creates transmission records required for Choice Point.
Add Auto Transmission Records: When this is selected, this looks at all Auto records and creates transmission records required for Choice Point.
Process: Click the Process button. Diamond begins processing all Auto and Home records that need credit scores. Each process displays a start / end time as well as an elapsed time. When each finishes, it displays the number of records that are processed. Records that are processed are marked in the Choice Point NCF Batch table with a "9" (Queued - Not Sent).
Submit Batch to Choice Point
Preview: After all request have been queued, select the Preview button. This changes the status of the queued records from a "9" (Queued - Not Sent) to a "1" (Pending).
Submit (Batch to Choice Point:) This sends the records in the batch to Choice Point. This changes all records' status from a "1" (Pending) to a "2" (Sent).
Check the Choice Point Batch Log File
You can check the Choice Point Batch Log File to ensure your records have been transmitted. This is located in the Report File Path system setting.
After some time has elapsed, you can check this again to make sure data has been sent back from Choice Point. Once records have been received from Choice Point, their status changes again from a "2" (Sent) to "3" (Received) in the Choice Point
Summary Section of the Choice Point NCF Batch Screen
At the top of the screen, there is a Summary section. All fields in this section are protected and cannot be accessed. Fields for Auto and Home are:
