Documents are created in Diamond using the Write Letter function. This function integrates with Microsoft Word ® to produce a letter. Form letters are then set up to be used with the Write Letter function for many reasons. One example is a letter greeting new customers.
In prior versions of Diamond, when documents were created, the only way to delete a document was by deleting it from a local or a network drive. Unfortunately, since many Diamond clients used the Write Letter function to create numerous documents, some of the documents were accidentally deleted, because the naming conventions were very similar....and...ditto for the templates.
Write Letter Maintenance allows users to:
Template Wizard: This is an easy to use tool that walks you through setting up your template.
Document Wizard: Once your template has been set up, this walks you through setting up a Word document where you can add narrative and insert the "merge" fields you select in the Template Wizard.
Documents: Allows you to import existing Write Letter documents, delete documents no longer used and assign documents to individual states.
Templates: This lets you delete templates that are no longer in use (...without having to do this on a network drive).
