Special Note: Users must have the authority, “Account Setup,” (3rd Party Group) to access and use this function.
Lexis Nexis ® (Formerly Choice Point) is a 3rd party vendor used for ordering CLUE Auto, CLUE Property, NCF and MVRs.
Once your company has made the decision to use Lexis Nexis, the Insuresoft Interface Team will provide you with Lexis Nexis contact information. It is your company's responsibility to contact Lexis Nexis. Lexis Nexis will then provide your company with Account Number (s), Suffix Number (s) and a Node number.
Also, prior to using any of the interfaces, authorities and system settings must be configured. Your Insuresoft business analyst can assist you in setting these up.
The Choice Point / Accounts function allows your company to have different Choice Point account numbers by:
Environment
Company
Agency
Transmission Type (e.g., Interactive or Batch)
Product Type (e.g., MVR, Credit, CLUE, etc.)
State
Line of business
Diamond uses the criteria listed above in that order in determining which account to use when placing an order.
Once you have chosen the Choice Point Setup / Accounts selection from the Company Configuration Tool Tree View, accounts can be set up as follows:
Environment and company are the only required fields for any account. If your company does not require agencies to have their own account numbers and no other options are chosen, the default values are:
Environment: Required. You may set up the same account for any of the following environments: Production, Test and Support.
Company: The company name for the account number.
Agency: Protected; indicates all agencies are using the company account number.
Transmission Type: Select “Batch” or “Interactive.” Generally speaking, if all agencies are using the same company’s account number, this should be done in “Batch.”
Product Type: Select “All.” MVRs, CLUE Auto, CLUE Property and NCF Reports will all use this account number.
State: Leave blank to include “All” states for a company. (Note: If you are choosing a state, then the corresponding line of business is required as well.)
Line of Business: Leave blank to include “All” LOBs for a company.
Allow Agency Users to Order Using This Company Account: Leave the check mark in this field.
Underwriter Suffix: Leave blank.

When adding an agency account, de-selecting the Allow Agency Users to Order Using This Company Account field opens the Agency field for selection. Again, based on your selections and entries above, the lower section of the screen allows you to set remaining options.
Special Note: The system comes with a predefined list of license types and statuses by state. New entries can be added to each list ad hoc. Each company that wants to use this functionality must set up the mapping for each value (e.g., license status, license type) that tells the system how to map the value to the corresponding Diamond value. The configuration for the values can vary by Company / State / Line of Business.
