Note: Notify UW tasks can be entered at the Claim, Claimant or Feature level. If you have entered an underwriting task at a specific level, that task can only be viewed at that level. Additionally, a Note can be added to a policy when Notify Underwriting is selected, and a Note is added to a claim. To enable this function, the system setting, "Add a Policy Note," (Claims / Notify Underwriting folder in Diamond System Editor) must be set to "True."
To begin the process of creating a task for an underwriter, click the Notify Underwriting tab and select Add. The New Notify Underwriting screen displays.
Enter or select the following:
Underwriter / Queue: Designate the underwriter assigned to this task by clicking in the left hand column. You can assign more than one underwriter if needed. If a single underwriter does not apply, choose the Queue button to return the Queues screen. You can individually select a queue or you can choose them all by selecting the field in the upper left.
Description (Underwriting Items): Indicate the applicable items for underwriter review by selecting the corresponding check box.
Remarks: Enter any related comments.
Click Save.
When complete, select Save to record the entries and selections made and populate the Notify UW screen with the task listed in the Grid View. The task displays in the designated underwriter's Task List the next time it is accessed.
To change the entries or selections made on an existing underwriting item:
To remove an underwriting task:
Click the red "X" next to the item.
Answer Yes to the question: "Delete selected item?"
The item is removed from the Grid View.
Selecting the Refresh button updates the data displayed, if changes or additions have been made.
If you have added a Note to a policy and wish to view the Note:
Return to the Policy Tab or reload the policy.
The Notes Grid View will display the UW Notifications.
The Note Detail shows a message indicating who the notification is from / to, the date, description and any remarks.
If the Print option is used, the Note:
Displays the Title, note owner, source, date and body of the Note.
