Note: You must have authority to add, edit and delete an appraisal (Claim Appraisal group).
Auto appraisals, which can be sent to independent adjusters, may be entered by accessing the Vehicle tab.
Select the Vehicle link.
Click Listed (for vehicle listed on policy) or Add to list another vehicle.
If the vehicle is already listed on the claim, click the pencil icon.
Click the Appraisals tab.
Next, select Add to return the Claim Appraisal Detail screen.
At the top of the Claim Appraisal Detail screen, all information relative to the selected auto is displayed.
The lower part of the screen contains five (5) tabs:
Once all entries and selections have been completed, choose the Save button. This returns the Vehicle Information screen with a system generated number assigned to the appraisal, the appraisal's status / type and the date assigned in the Data Grid View.
If any changes need to be made, highlight the appraisal and choose the pencil icon. Make any changes necessary on any of the tabs, and choose Save.
Note: Prior to using this function, you will need to set up system settings in Diamond System Editor. In the Claims / Notify Underwriting / Email / SMPT folder:
Mail Server: This used for setting up the mail server for email notifications for Notify Underwriting Tasks; implementation specific / user defined field.
Reply To: This is the individual or entity used to reply to the email; implementation specific / user defined field.
Once an appraisal has been added and is shown in the Grid View, a Print / Email tab is shown. Options include:
To exit the Vehicle Information screen, choose Save.
