Note: A user must have the authority,"Edit Blackout Information," (Billing group) to do this billing transaction.
The billing transaction, Edit Blackout Information, allows a user to change the hurricane blackout for a specific policy record.
To edit blackout information:
Access the policy, and click Billing from the Quick Links Tree View.
Click Transaction on the Statement Display screen.
From the Transaction Reason combo box, select Edit Blackout Information.
When the Edit Hurricane Blackout screen returns, it displays the current blackout in the Current Hurricane Blackout field. If no hurricane blackout exists, it defaults to "None."
To change the blackout, select a new hurricane blackout from the New Hurricane Blackout combo box.
Note: If there is an existing hurricane blackout assigned, and you want to remove the flag from the policy, select "None."
Click Accept.
Answer Yes to the prompt: "Change blackout option to <Name of Hurricane>?"
Click Issue.
This sets the hurricaneblackout_id in the Policy table to what is selected. It blocks the Legal and Final Notices of Cancellation for End of Day. It also blocks New Business transactions if the new blackout has these selected. It does not change the non-renewal information.
